Privacy Policy

How ArcSigma Academy collects, uses and protects your personal data when you create an account, take a course or fill in a form, and the rights you have over it.

Last updated

This policy explains how Sidinnov Technologies LLP (“ArcSigma Academy”, “we”, “us”) handles your personal data on arcsigma.com. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and we collect only what we need to teach you and run the academy.

By using the site, creating an account or sending us a form, you agree to this policy and to our Terms & Conditions. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site or give us your details.

What we collect

  • Account and profile: your name, email address and password when you sign up. The password is stored as a secure hash, never as plain text. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that service. You can also add your profession, company, country and phone number to your profile
  • Form details: what you enter when you reserve a cohort seat, join a waitlist, download a cheatsheet, subscribe to the newsletter, request team training or register as a mentor. That can include your name, email, phone number, company, team size, LinkedIn profile and a message
  • Learning records: your quiz results, the certificates you earn, the projects you submit with your mentor’s feedback, and any ratings and comments you leave on a course
  • Live sessions: if you join a live cohort session, your name, voice, video and chat messages may appear in it. Sessions are recorded and the recordings are shared only with learners and mentors in your batch
  • Payment details: when you pay for a cohort, our payment provider Razorpay handles your card, UPI or bank details. We receive and keep only the order and payment reference, the amount and the currency, not your full card or bank details
  • Technical details: your IP address, device and browser, and when you sign in. We use your IP address to work out your country, so we can show and charge prices in the right currency
  • Stored in your browser: your theme choice and your course progress are saved in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device and aren’t sent to us
  • Sign-in cookies: a cookie keeps you logged in
  • Usage analytics: we use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and how the site is used, such as sign-ups, course progress and enrolments. It sets analytics cookies and receives your IP address and device and browser details. We don’t send it your name, email or phone number. We may use it to measure how our Google ads perform
  • Advertising measurement: we use the Meta Pixel to measure how our ads on Facebook and Instagram perform. It sets advertising cookies and sends Meta the pages you visit and actions such as sign-ups, enquiries and purchases, with your IP address and device and browser details. We don’t send it your name, email or phone number

How we use it

  • To run your account, courses, quizzes and certificates, and to let others verify a certificate you share
  • To confirm cohort seats, take payments, share session links and recordings, review your projects and answer your questions
  • To show prices in your currency, based on the country your IP address points to
  • To send the newsletter, if you subscribed. Every email has a way to unsubscribe
  • To prepare a training, consulting or marketing proposal, or to follow up on a mentor application
  • To understand how the site is used and improve our courses and pages
  • To keep the site secure, prevent spam and fraud, enforce our terms and meet our legal obligations

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent your personal data. We share it only in these cases:

  • Service providers who help us run the academy, only for that job: our hosting and database providers, Resend (sending email), Google and Microsoft (signing in, if you choose them), Razorpay (payments), Bunny Stream (course videos, which receives your IP address and device details when a video plays), Google Analytics (usage analytics) and Meta (advertising measurement)
  • Mentors and your batch: mentors see the projects you submit, and learners in your batch can see you in live sessions and recordings
  • Certificate verification: anyone you give a certificate link to can see your name, the course and the date issued, but not your email or score
  • When the law requires it: to comply with a law, court order or request from a government or tax authority, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our learners, us or others
  • If our business changes hands: if we merge with, are acquired by or sell our business to another company, your data may pass to it, and this policy will keep applying to it

Cookies

We use three kinds of cookies: a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in, analytics cookies from Google Analytics and advertising cookies from the Meta Pixel. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you won’t be able to stay logged in. Blocking analytics and advertising cookies doesn’t affect your courses.

Transfers outside India

Some of our service providers store or process data outside India. When they do, we use providers that protect it to a standard consistent with this policy. We won’t transfer your data to any country the Government of India restricts under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

How we protect it

We use reasonable security practices to protect your data from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. All traffic to the site is encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are stored only as secure hashes, payment details stay with Razorpay, and only the people who need your data to run the academy can access it. No method of storing or sending data over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect it and keep our practices up to date.

Data breaches

If a breach affects your personal data, we’ll tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires, explain what happened and what we’re doing about it, and take steps to limit the harm.

How long we keep it

We keep account details and learning records while your account is open. Form details are kept for up to [24 months] after our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. Payment records are kept for as long as tax law requires.

To close your account, email grievance@arcsigma.com. We’ll delete your account, profile and learning records within 30 days, and your certificates will no longer verify. We keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as payment records, or what we need to resolve a dispute or prevent fraud.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal data we hold about you, what we do with it and who we’ve shared it with
  • Correct, complete or update it
  • Delete it, or close your account
  • Stop sending you the newsletter
  • Resolve a complaint about how we handle your data
  • Let someone you nominate exercise these rights for you if you die or can’t act for yourself

You can also withdraw your consent at any time. We’ll then stop using your data for that purpose, though this doesn’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it, and we may no longer be able to provide some services. Email grievance@arcsigma.com and we’ll respond within 30 days.

If you live outside India

We give every learner the rights above, wherever they live. If the law where you live gives you further rights over your personal data, such as the right to object to how we use it or to receive a copy in a portable format, email grievance@arcsigma.com and we’ll honour them as that law requires.

Children

Our courses are meant for adults. If you’re under 18, you may use the site only with the verifiable consent of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for your account. We don’t knowingly track, profile or show targeted ads to anyone under 18. If we learn that we’ve collected a child’s data without that consent, we’ll delete it.

Our pages and courses may link to other websites and tools. We aren’t responsible for how they handle your data, so please read their privacy policies before you share anything with them.

If you have a question or complaint about how we handle your data, contact our Grievance Officer:

  • Name: Shriram Deshmukh
  • Email: grievance@arcsigma.com
  • Phone: +91 80715 81099
  • Address: Sidinnov Technologies LLP, Innov8, 7th Floor, S 11, Ghatkopar Link Road, Chakala MIDC, Mumbai 400093, Maharashtra, India

We’ll acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Changes to this policy

When we update this policy, we’ll change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we’ll tell registered learners by email.
